MVGC Membership Perks:

• Use of shooting ranges and trap (ranges closed during deer rifle/shotgun seasons and shooting matches).

• Monthly .22, trap, and defensive shooting matches to test your skills in friendly competition. 

• MVGC Members have access to use of Clubhouse for parties or gatherings (Clean up after yourself).

• Latest information on gun laws and advocacy discussed at each meeting.

To Become a Member of the MVGC Applicant Must:

1) Attend a monthly meeting.

• New members must attend a meeting to be voted on/approved by current members for acceptance into the club.

  • New membership applications are available at meeting nights but can also be found here.

• Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, February-December

  • 7pm at the Clubhouse: 651 Gun Club Rd, Rockwood, IL 62280 (Past shooting ranges on left).​

2) Pay MVGC membership fees (Upon membership approval):

Dues will be returned, if applicant is rejected.

• One-time Initiation Fee of $25.00 applies at signup (Initiation fee reapplies if membership lapses)

• $30.00 Annual dues.

        $30 annual membership dues are prorated depending on the month of application as follows:

January $30.00 + $25.00 = $55.00;    May $20.00 + $25.00 = $45.00;     September $10.00+ $25.00 = $35.00       February $27.50 + $25.00 = $52.50;  June $17.50 + $25.00 = $42.50;     October $7.50 +$25.00 = $32.50                 March $25.00 + $25.00 = $50.00;     July $15.00 + $25.00 = $40.00;      November $5.00+ $25.00 = $30.00             April $22.50 + $25.00 = $47.50;         August $12.50 + $25.00 = $37.50;  December $2.50 +$25.00 = $27.50

• National Rifle Association (NRA) Membership is required.

  • If you are not a NRA member at this time you may sign up for NRA membership when you are approved as a MVGC member.

    • The MVGC has a NRA Recruiter who can assist you, if needed, to sign up for NRA membership.

NRA membership types and fees are as follows: 

Associate $10 (no magazine)

1 Year $35 ($45 Select Magazine)     5 Year $125 ($160 Select Magazine)

3 Year $85 ($100 Select Magazine)  Life $1000 ($1500 Select Magazine)

• Raffle Ticket Sales:

  • Why? To help keep membership dues low for members.

  •  Each member must sell (5) $15 Gun of the Month Raffle tickets each year (total $75/year).

  • Chance to win a $1000 firearm of winner's choice from Copperhead Arms in Rockwood, IL.

    • Winner need not be present to win.

    • Option for $599 cash prize available instead of firearm.

    • Winning tickets returned to barrel for more chances to win.

    • Winner may choose a more expensive firearm, but they must pay difference in cost over $1000. 

 

A complementary meal is provided to all at the monthly MVGC meetings, so you are welcome to join us as soon as you can!  We welcome new members and would be happy to answer any questions you might have about our club and its activities.
